Delegation Cycle

Delegation Cycle

Epoche -1 In order to be able to delegate, you first need to register your stake on the blockchain. The duration of the initial registration requires two epochs (-1 and 0).
Each epoch lasts 5 days
Epoche 0 The registration is verified by the blockchain and completed with a confirmation at the end of epoch 0.
Completion of the registration with a confirmation
Epoche 1 Now the deployment is officially registered in the network. In order for your delegated deployment to be considered part of the active deployment by the stake pool and to work, you need to wait for epoch 1.
Staking begins - Remember, your stake never leaves your wallet in the process.
Epoche 2 In Epoch 2, the delegated stake can now be used from the Stake Pool and attempt to produce a block for the first time. If you don't make any changes, your stake will also be used in every following epoch.
Ready for block production
Epoche 3 Also in epoch 3 your stake will be used from the stake pool. Since the stake was also active in the previous epoch, the network will use this epoch to calculate the reward from previous epochs. The prerequisite for this is that the stake pool has produced blocks in the previous epoch.
It takes about 16-20 days to get the first yields
Epoche 4 Your stake will be used again by the Stake Pool in this epoch. This is also the last time you will receive rewards (earnings) for the work your ADA did in previous epochs (if blocks were produced). The entire process will now repeat continuously from epoch 1, as long as no change has been made to the wallet.
